Acne Home Remedy
Making The Choice
Easy
As we have seen in
past studies and research, vitamins play a key role in any
useful acne home
remedy. Not only does your diet dictate a good
portion of your facial problems but it can also dictate
facial
cleanliness.
Vitamin E is extremely important, as is Vitamin C and alpha
lipoic acid. The reasons behind their effectiveness are
explained below.
Vitamin C
is readily available in many foods. Lemons, tomatoes, leafy
veggies, and oranges are some foods which contain this lovely
ingredient. Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant and thus helps
fight the 'never ending' acne problem. It also helps our bodies
to convert fat to energy. This is done by producing
L-carnitine.
On a side
note, L-Carnitine helps to repair skin which is damaged. Since
acne causes damage to our skin, we can clearly see how this is
beneficial in helping our skin repair itself from acne scars
and damage left by pimples, zits, and
blackheads.
The more
fat you have, the more chance you have of acne, because that
fat will start to clog pores etc.. So with vitamin C, you are
fighting off the fat & fighting off a possible acne cause.
No need for medicine here!
Vitamin E
also helps to replace damaged skin from acne scars and even
helps women with their stretch marks. In its purest form,
vitamin E will also help your cholesterol level because it
helps to prevent the clogging of your arteries. Remember, the
less things you have clogged in your body (pores), the less
chance acne has of controlling your skin.
Alpha
Lipoic Acid is used as an antioxidant as well. Although is some
foods, it typically isn't present in sufficient amounts so a
supplement is needed. If you are a diabetic, perhaps you
already know about this acid and how it helps to prevent
glycation of collagen.
For acne
sufferers, this acid slows down inflammatory reactions
throughout your body, thereby slowing down the process of
rosacea and any acne flare ups. Again, diet is a key part of
keeping your face clean from zits.
