How To Get Rid of Blackheads

And Have A New Face

Blackheads are undoubtedly one of the most common plagues on teenagers in our modern society. Granted you don't have to be a teenager in order to get blackheads, but for the most part it attacks our youth of today. So how does one learn how to get rid of blackheads?

Removing them may seem like quite a challenge, especially when you remove one and find three more the next week. It is almost as if they spread faster, the more you remove them from your skin.

Blackheads are commonly confused with whiteheads and thus, a distinction must be made between the two. Blackheads are only found on people with oily skin. They may look like tiny little indentations to you when you look in the mirror. Common places to see them include the cheeks and the nose.

Before we get into details of how you should remove them, you should understand why blackheads form. Without getting into the science of the skin, you should know that excess oil on the skin has clogged up your pores, thereby causing a blackhead. Why does this occur?

Clogged pores are common when you have a lot of dead skin on your skin. Sounds confusing doesn't it? Well even if you can't see any dead skin, you still may have a lot on you. This dead skin combines itself with sebum, and thus you have clogged up skin.

This is why it is so essential to wash your face on a daily basis, preferably twice daily, so as to get all that guck off of your skin.

When it comes to men vs women in the blackhead department, one should note that blackheads will become more apparent with the increased production of oil on the skin. This is due to hormones which build up in the wee years of teens as well as the large amount of makeup many girls wear.

The solution?

Well we can't say not to use makeup if you are a girl. After all, that would be like a guy not playing video games. Here are some suggestions which should help you in the long scheme of things.

  • Use an acne cleanser daily, when washing your face.
  • Try not to use greasy creams or excess makeup.
  • Shower daily.
  • Drink plenty of water (not fluids but WATER... not tap either).
  • Brush off dead skin each day, or wash face.
  • Look into glycolic and salicylic acid as a cleanser.
  • You may wish to use BP (Benzoyl Peroxide) to help.
  • Take plenty of vitamins and eat healthy.

Removing blackheads is an age old debate too. Some people say to only wash your face while other folks tell you to squeeze them out. Why not do both? After all, if you are going through the trouble of keeping your face clean, you might as well squeeze the remaining buggers you have left out of there.
