How To Treat Acne

And Have A Life...

Depending on who you talk with, you will receive a different answer every time as to which way is best when it comes to treating acne. Depending on the severity of your problem, the approach of how to treat acne will differ substantially.

If your acne is generally mild for the most part, a simple change in diet along with a rigorous face washing each day should produce some results for you. Some are not so blessed though and may need to add a medical treatment plan in addition to their daily routine.

You may also wish to use a product that you can pick up at any local pharmacy. It is called Benzoyl Peroxide or BP for short. It is normally used as a cold treatment for acne. Without getting into too much detail, it essentially opens up your pores and gets deep down to the root of the acne problem, thereby allowing your skin to breath.

It isn't a miracle cure, but it works rather well if you use it in conjunction with a healthy diet. Speaking of diets, there is no point in you doing a diet for a couple of reasons.

First of all, diets are not effective when it comes to acne. Simply eat like your normally do, except without the junk. Eating healthy is a key ingredient in the fight against acne vulgaris. Secondly, diets can actually make you gain more weight in the long run because your body builds up an excess storage for future "diets". It is the body's self defense and thus, you may see the exact opposite of what you hoped to obtain.

Foods that will help you include bananas, brown rice, eggs, fish, corn, and chicken. These are all high in vitamin B and as you may know, vitamin B is crucial in preventing acne from  happening again in your body. Not only that, but it boosts your energy as well as transforming fat into energy. The less fat you have (to a point), the less material there is your body to block pores and clog your skin from breathing the way it should.

Likewise foods that have vitamin E can help to replenish your skin and any areas of skin that are damaged. Although if you have acne scars, it would be best to use a chemical peel such as Trichloracetic acid. For more information on how foods can change your acne's apperance, visit Acne Free In 3 Days.
