Natural Acne Remedies
From The Ease Of Your
Home
Many people prefer natural
acne remedies over prescriptions and medications. It's a
reasonable argument as well, seeing as how medical costs
are rising at extrememe rates, and most medicines only
quell the symptoms, not the
cause.
You will rarely ever find a medical doctor that suggests you
take natural remedies as opposed to the prescribed medicines.
To add to that, you will rarely ever hear a friend to tell
you to take medicine. No wonder so many people are
confused.
What is one to do? The answer is a combination of both
medical treatment and your own self-help methods. The simplest
and easiest way to rid yourself of acne is to watch what you
eat, perform routine facial cleansing, and specifically watch
your intake of junk
food.
Hereditary genes play an important role as well and they cannot
be controlled like your food can, so that is why you have to
monitor what you can and leave the rest to nature. Where do you
begin?
Start with a good facial cleaning each morning. Use plenty of
soap and good hot water. With a damp washcloth, towel, or
facial cleaner, scrub your face and areas where you are
affected by acne.
One thing to keep in mind is to always keep your skin somewhat
moist. Dry skin can lead to a buildup of the sebum with dead
skin cells, which in turn can block more
pores.
If you took a sideways view of your skin, you would find that
the pore is on top, followed by the stratum cornerum,
epidermis, dermis, sebum, sebaceous gland, and last but not
least, the hair
follicle.
By giving yourself a good scrub each day, you help the skin to
breathe and also wash away all the sweat and guck which has
built up on your face throughout the night. As you may have
guessed, it is recommended you do the same thing at night. This
way you remove all the crap that collected on your skin
throughout the day (so as not to add to your
condition).
To add to your own self help, you could use Benzoyl Peroxide as
a cold acne treatment. This cream helps to get deep down in the
pore and open up any clogging, thereby allowing the pore to
breathe and rid itself of dry dead skin and other
matter.
Vitamin B and C foods can't hurt either as they contain
essential ingredients which serve to act as antioxidants and
swelling reducers. They even help to repair damaged skin from
previous acne scars. Though severe scars may require the use of
a good chemical peel, such as Phenol
Acid.
